Valle de Trinidad, Baja California. October 2007. Getting ready to compete in
the Baja 1000 requires grueling training, course reconnaisance, and not forgetting to
have some fun along the way. Below are highlights of a recent run to Baja where we
pre-ran the course out to Valle de Trinidad, meeting at the El Oasis orphanage to
celebrate with the kids.
Check out the pictures from El Oasis. We arrived at El Oasis after a recon run to
determine where Malcolm Smith and JN Roberts will ride out of Ensenada. We were
surprised to find children visiting from a church in Tijuana for an afternoon fiesta with
the El Oasis kids. It was a wonderful afternoon of fun food and games.
We also took the time to develop several projects for upcoming working trips to the
orphanage, including oficina remodel, dorm upgrades and various maintenance
projects.
